About Marie
I have been working with children since I was a child myself. I was always the designated "babysitter" of the family displaying natural enthusiasm, curiosity and responsibility for my family members and friends. I have always been "the Mom" of the group and proud of it! I still delight in children to this day, whether it be one of my own two sons or the children I have the privilege of working with in therapy.

Post my 10 year career in both primary/junior and high school classrooms, teaching everything from visual arts to phys. ed. and guidance to school leadership, I pivoted to studying counselling psychology. When my first born was an infant, I completed all necessary steps to start practicing on my own. It was tough.

You've found me now! A seasoned and experienced clinician, personally and professionally, in the art of supporting people. I would value nothing more than to get to know you.

I help people thrive in partnership with their neurodiverse brains! I treat children, adolescents, adults, couples and families. I will be your biggest cheerleader but also challenge you to dig deep to disrupt patterns and break cycles. I use personal traits of humour, lightheartedness and unrelenting encouragement to create connection - laughter is an excellent coping strategy, after all. I take an eclectic approach to challenges across the lifespan and within a family system. I am equipped to treat the diagnoses you are living with and/or exposed to.

Namely, ADHD - Autism - Pathological Demand Avoidance - Personality Disorders - Learning Disabilities - complex sensory profiles and co-occurring mental health issues like anxiety, depression, stress and relationships. My specialties include supporting people touched by conditions under the neurodiverse umbrella. I hold a special place in my heart for people coping with ADHD and Autism as well as their families and friends. My goal is to support you and your loved ones function in ways you can be proud of.

The most important role I fulfill is "Mammy" to 2 children, one identified as neurodiverse. I believe everyone’s journey through life is utterly unique. I will strive to bring my lived experiences to my practice and treat you with care, compassion and dignity regardless of labels. We are in this together!
